Network Roaming Specialist-18022025
Toronto, ONJob Description: Network Roaming Specialist
Must Have
• Extensive experience in core & roaming network signaling and standard protocols
• Roaming and core network parameters tuning, audit and optimization skills
• High level of expertise in VoLTE and IoT roaming network solutions, design, deployment and testing
• GRX & IPX interconnect signaling protocols knowledge
• Experience with roaming launches projects in different technologies including VoLTE roaming
• Strong knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G signaling (i.e. IuCS, IuPS, GSM MAP, CAMEL, ISUP, SIP, S1AP, SGs, GTPv1, GTPv2, Sy, …) and ability to analyze call flow traces and identify root cause of the network issues
• Strong knowledge on IMS<E network architecture include SIP and Diameter protocols
• Contribute in all phases of IREG testing process and roaming QoS performance monitoring
• Mobile subscribers’ profile knowledge and profile provisioning skills
• The capability of monitoring the network performance and Identifying network issues.
• Critical thinking and strong network troubleshooting and analytic skills
• Core and roaming network KPIs/KQIs deep knowledge for different network elements
• Report generation and strong report development skills
• SMS/MMS intercarrier experience
• Network probing tools hands-on experience such as NetScout and Polystar
• Traffic taping, traffic aggregation , probing tools deployment
• Strong data analytics skills
• Network analytics, customer experience tools deployment
• Build and update documentation on regular bases
• Flexibility to work during the maintenance window
• IP switching and routing skills
• Linux OS hands-on experience
• 1 to 5 years of experience in cellular network
Nice to have
• IREG testing experience such as IR24, IR32, IR35, IR38 and IR25
• 5G NSA, SA core and roaming strong knowledge
• Strong 5G SEPP interworking knowledge
• Cloud infrastructure basic understanding
• Roaming testing tool experience such as SIGOS tool
• Experience of SIM card provisioning and handset testing
• Network analytics tools hands-on such as Mobileum, NetScout, Polystar etc.
• Hands-on experience on Dell , Cisco etc. switches and routers
