Park Avenue Nanny

New York, NY

Full-Time Nanny Needed for Fun, Busy Family (UES + Summer in Long Island)
$30–$35/hr (payroll) | 50 hours/week

A down-to-earth family on the Upper East Side is looking for an experienced, energetic nanny to care for their three kids — a 5-year-old (in school nearby), a 2-year-old (starting school next year), and a sweet 6-month-old baby. Both parents are attorneys; dad works out of the house and mom works from home. They're a close-knit, warm family who value kindness, responsibility, and good energy. They also keep a kosher home and observe Sabbath, so experience with that is a big plus — or just a willingness to learn!

Schedule:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8am–6:30pm

  • Friday: 8am–4/5pm

  • About 50 hours/week, plus some occasional date night babysitting if you're open to it.

What They're Looking For:

They’re looking for someone who:

  • Is great with kids of all ages, especially babies and toddlers

  • Has experience potty training

  • Speaks Spanish (huge plus!)

  • Is fun, bubbly, and super reliable

  • Has common sense and takes initiative

  • Can be flexible — things change with kids!

Summer Plans:

The family will be moving to Hewlett, Long Island for the summer (June–Sept) while their apartment is being renovated.
They’re open to:

  • Someone who can commute from Brooklyn by train

  • Or someone who can live in just for the summer

The big kids will be in day camp part of the day, so you'll mostly be with the baby.

Day-to-Day:

  • Caring for the baby (feeding, naps, playtime)

  • School pickups/drop-offs for the older kids (school is close by)

  • Engaging the kids in fun, active play

  • Helping out around the house — unloading the dishwasher, sweeping crumbs, taking out the trash, etc.

  • Family laundry if time allows

  • If you like to cook healthy meals, that’s a huge bonus!

They have a regular cleaner for deep cleans, but appreciate someone who’ll naturally pitch in when things need to be done.

Pay & Benefits:

  • $30–$35/hour, depending on experience (on payroll)

  • 2 weeks paid vacation + 5 PTO/sick days

This is a great role for someone who wants to become part of the family, have fun with the kids, and really take pride in their work. If you’re warm, upbeat, and know how to juggle a busy day — they’d love to meet you!
