Job Title: Family Assistant
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8 AM–5 PM (flexible hours as needed)
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000/year DOE + benefits (potentially higher for the right fit)
We’re a dynamic, entrepreneurial family based in Newport Beach seeking a full-time Family Assistant to help us create a calm, organized, and uplifting home environment. We run multiple businesses and travel frequently, so we’re looking for someone proactive, highly capable, and detail-oriented who can take initiative, manage a wide range of household tasks, and support our 7-year-old son with warmth and professionalism.
This is not just a task-based job — it’s a long-term role for someone who truly enjoys supporting a family and keeping a busy household running smoothly.
Daily tidying and light cleaning: dishes, counters, clutter, laundry, etc.
Oversee organization projects (closets, pantry, kid’s areas, etc.)
Coordinate with weekly deep-cleaning housekeeper
Run errands: grocery shopping, dry cleaning, returns, post office, etc.
Maintain household inventory and reordering as needed
Morning routine support: breakfast, school prep, light clean-up
Occasional after-school or evening care, including homework help
Educational activities: crafts, reading, numbers/letters
Overnight care during parent travel (1x/month on average)
Foster a fun, screen-limited, learning-friendly environment
Prep simple, wellness-minded meals/snacks based on a provided plan
Follow light, healthy recipes and support dietary goals
Contribute to a calm, health-focused home lifestyle
Calendar and appointment management (personal, medical, travel)
Travel planning and coordination (hotels, flights, packing, etc.)
Liaise with our business team when personal/home overlap arises
Occasional event coordination or home hosting support
Have 3+ years of experience in household management or as a nanny
Are naturally organized, proactive, and self-sufficient
Can follow a task list but also take initiative with common sense
Love creating systems and finding ways to improve efficiency
Are calm, upbeat, positive, and genuinely great with kids
Are tech-savvy and comfortable using digital calendars and tools
Can travel with the family and stay with the child when parents are away
Are flexible — some weeks are lighter, others busier (especially during travel)
Speak a second language (French, Spanish, or Mandarin is a plus!)
Have a background in Montessori or early childhood education
Enjoy wellness, personal development, or a clean, Pinterest-worthy home aesthetic
