Position: Housekeeper
Location: Teaneck, NJ
Rate: $30/hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8am - 3pm; Friday 9am - 4pm (35 hours)
 

About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper to manage the upkeep of a four-story home. The ideal candidate will have experience in helping Kosher meal preparation and serving, be physically fit to navigate multiple flights of stairs, and be capable of maintaining the home’s hardwood floors. A calm demeanor and respect for boundaries are essential, as is the ability to work in a scent-free environment due to family allergies. The family consists of four children and no pets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning: Maintain thorough cleanliness across all four floors of the home. Perform all laundry duties.
• Meal Prep: Assist with light Kosher food preparation, ensuring adherence to kosher dietary laws.
• Supply Inventory:  Track and restock supplies, make purchase lists, and stay organized.
• Driving: Handle driving responsibilities as needed for errands.
• Allergies: Work in a strict scent-free environment (no smoking, perfume, or other scents) due to severe family allergies.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a housekeeper in large homes, with a willingness to learn about Kosher practices.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to move efficiently throughout a four-story home.
• Non-Smoker: Strictly non-smoking due to family allergies.
• No Scents: Must not use or wear perfumes or scented products.
• Driving: A valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Calm & Professional: Maintain a calm demeanor, respect boundaries, and handle tasks with professionalism.
