Our client, a major bank in New York City (or Central NJ), is looking for SQL Developer Production Support (Market Risk).

This is hybrid commute, 2-3 days per week in the office.

6 months initial contract with possible extensions or option to hire. Could be very long term. Final interview will be ONSITE.

Rate: $70-74 on W2, possible C2C as well.

Job Description
Expert Database Developer with strong Python skills for our Market Risk Production Support team. This role combines 20% development with 80% Level 2 production support responsibilities. The position requires monitoring and managing critical data pipelines and scheduled jobs. You will ensure business-critical information remains accurate and available.

Required Skills: 
• Expert-level SQL proficiency (mandatory) 
• Strong Python programming experience 
• Production support experience with on-call responsibilities (mandatory) 
• SSIS development and testing expertise (required) 
• Experience documenting operational design flows and processes 
• Basic cloud platform experience (required) 
• GIT, ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence knowledge (preferred) 
• Financial services experience (advantage)
• Hybrid position (NY/NJ)
 
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate demonstrates proactive problem-solving abilities. Strong multitasking skills are essential. Excellent analytical and logical reasoning capabilities are required. Outstanding communication skills and collaborative teamwork approach are mandatory.
