A warm and growing family in Beacon, NY is seeking a compassionate, experienced live-out nanny to join their team and support their two young children , a sweet and active 2.5-year-old boy and a newborn daughter who is currently in the NICU after a very premature birth. The ideal candidate will be dependable, nurturing, and experienced with toddlers, newborns, and preemies, while also being collaborative and proactive in a home with multiple caregivers.

About the Family & Setup:
You will work closely with a second nanny (who covers daytime hours on M/W/F from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM) to create seamless, loving care for both children. The mother will be on maternity leave when the baby comes home, but will still need hands-on, full-time support as she balances care and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage the toddler with age-appropriate, enriching activities

  • Support newborn care when discharged from the NICU (preemie experience preferred)

  • Handle child-related tasks:

    • Children’s laundry and linens

    • Bottle/pump part washing and sterilizing

    • Healthy meal prep for the toddler

    • Tidying play areas, bedrooms, rotating and organizing clothes and toys

  • Drive the children to activities or appointments as needed (must have own vehicle)

  • Maintain open, respectful communication with the parents and second nanny

  • Uphold a structured, calm, and developmentally supportive environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has 5+ years of professional nanny experience, including infants and toddlers

  • Has experience with premature babies and understands their unique needs

  • Is warm, reliable, proactive, and team-oriented

  • Has a valid driver’s license and their own reliable vehicle

  • Is comfortable in a household with a work-from-home parent

  • Is a non-smoker

  • Must be willing to wear a mask at all times while working, due to the baby's severely compromised immune system

  • Is ideally fully vaccinated, especially with Tdap and flu shots

  • Is looking for a long-term role and values being part of a close-knit family team

This is a deeply rewarding opportunity for a caregiver who wants to make a real impact during a tender, transitional time for this family. They are looking for someone dedicated, kind, and thoughtful, someone who is ready to grow with them in the years ahead.
