Job Title: Live in Nanny/Family Assistant
Location: Gig Harbor, WA (Client is willing to help candidate relocate)
Annual Comp Equivalent: $90,000–$100,000 annually (flexible for the right fit)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 50 hours/week (flexibility required, see below)

Overview:
A warm and dynamic family of five in beautiful Gig Harbor, WA is seeking a Live-In Nanny/Family Assistant to join their home as a hands-on, long-term team member. The household includes three active children (ages 7, 5, and 1.5) and a stay-at-home mom who is deeply involved in the day-to-day care. This is a team-oriented role ideal for someone who is high-energy, collaborative, flexible, and thrives in a fast-moving environment.
The family is looking for someone who is engaged, proactive, and present—no phone use while on duty, and a genuine love for playing with and teaching children is essential. The ideal candidate will balance childcare and light household tasks, help keep the home running smoothly, and be willing to travel with the family as needed (including a yearly international trip and likely multiple domestic trips).
Schedule:
The role requires availability between 7:30 AM and 9:00 PM, averaging about 10 working hours per day with breaks and downtime built in. The schedule will be coordinated closely with Mom to ensure coverage where needed.
Flexibility is key, especially during travel or when plans shift, and the family is committed to offering that same flexibility in return. A team-minded, communicative approach will help make this a positive and sustainable working relationship.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare (Team-Based with Mom):
Assist with morning and bedtime routines
Engage the children in play-based, screen-free activities
Support school pickups, drop-offs, and extracurriculars as needed
Occasional sole care for the children during errands or travel
Help create a warm, structured, and engaging environment
Family Assistant Duties:
Light housekeeping (dishes, laundry, tidying, meal prep assistance, etc. in coordination with mom)
Assist with organization and systems throughout the home
Pack/unpack from travel, help manage children’s clothing rotation
Manage deliveries, errands, and occasional vendor coordination
Help with planning and executing household routines and logistics
Ideal Candidate:
Experienced nanny/family assistant with live-in or split-shift experience
Energetic and resilient, can keep up with three busy children
Communicative, respectful, and comfortable working alongside a hands-on parent
Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to changing schedules
Highly engaged while working
Enjoys teamwork and pitching in wherever needed
Must be willing to travel with the family (passport required or willing to obtain)
Valid driver’s license required
Background will be conducted upon offer
