Forklift Operator

We’re looking for a Forklift Operator to join our client’s dynamic distribution center team in Flower Mound, Texas. If you enjoy being hands-on and playing a critical role in warehouse operations, we want to hear from you!

Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday – 6 am - 2:30 pm
Must be available to work overtime on weekdays and weekends

Job Description:
On a consistent basis, perform safe operation of a Stand-up, Sit-Down, Counterbalance, Electric Pallet Jack or other power equipment to unload, load, push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move product throughout the distribution center. Spends at least 80% of working hours operating power equipment but must be willing to work off the equipment based on business needs.
  • Drive forklifts or power equipment to transfer materials between unloading, loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Organize and secure stored materials such as boxes and pallets.
  • Load or unload product/material manually, off or on to pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
  • Perform routine post and pre-inspections to ensure suitable working nature or forklift equipment.
  • Report to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.
  • Weigh product/material and record weight and further production information on labels and tags.
  • Wrap material loads with a wrapper and ensure the warehouse premise is clean.
  • Complete power equipment training provided by the company.
  • May recharge batteries on power equipment.

Physical and Work Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable operating warehouse equipment
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Must be willing to perform manual material handling tasks as needed

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience operating forklifts or warehouse power equipment is a plus
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
