Direct Hire 1st Shift
Job Summary: Provide assistance to the Chemist/Scientist/ Management, by performing various laboratory support functions. Area Of Responsibility: Under the direction of laboratory Management, this individual:
Prepare mobile phase/diluents dissolution media; and perform the daily calibration of pH meters, balances, Karl Fisher apparatus and other laboratory equipment’s as assigned.
Clean the laboratory glassware, dissolution bath and maintain the cleanliness in the laboratory.
Clean the microbiological laboratory as per applicable SOP.
Perform any testing as required by the management, after adequate training.
Follow the analysts’ instructions to collect the glassware, set up the dissolution baths, and remove the organic waste & HPLC vials, from the LC’s.
Collect the samples from the Vault per the testing schedule/plan based on the analyst/ management’s requirement. Count the tablets/capsules & perform ATW/ACFW.
Perform data entry, filing, and organization, and maintain raw materials, finished product and sample logbooks required.
Remove the released samples from the appropriate area, and dispose them accordingly as per SOP.
Maintain and monitor lab supplies, chemicals inventory in the lab.
Check the expiration dates of the standards, chemicals, remove the expired chemicals, & dispose them accordingly.
Work Conditions: Laboratory environment:
Flow and safety hoods
Exposure to noise, bio-hazardous (live cultures), and chemicals
May entail exposure to radiation within NRC limits
Exposure to non-hazardous and hazardous chemicals and materials
Moderate noise, oven heat, open flame, chemical fume hoods areas requiring wearing appropriate safety equipment (i.e. gloves, lab coat, safety glasses and respirator)
Physical Requirements:
Stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with arms and hands, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Close vision; depth perception; ability to adjust focus
Use of repetitive motion
Able to operate computer/office machines
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of High School/Trade School/Vocational School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. B.S. degree preferred.
Experience in pharmaceutical analytical laboratory, a plus
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
Demonstrated excellent communication: verbal and written.
A self-starter with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude.
The requirement for English language proficiency for this job role is Intermediate-B1+ (comparable to Global CEFR Independent B1) level based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
