We are hiring for a Staffing Coordinator in our Home Care (Private Duty) Department.


The base hourly range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $25-26 per/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

JOB SUMMARY
The Coordinator is responsible for all matters pertaining to the daily coordination, evaluation and supervision of private duty services provided by the Agency consistent with the mission and goals of the Agency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedules all shift requests for private duties.  Shifts may require RN's, LVN's, CNA's, have variable start and stop times, and are a minimum of four hours in length.
  • Creates 3-ring binder charts for staff use in patients' home as needed.
  • Acts as chief liaison to patient and family regarding personnel and shift issues.
  • Provides additional copies of face sheet, patient address map, and staff schedule for each staff member for patient's home as needed.
  • Provides additional copies of staff schedule for patients' home as needed.
  • Obtains staff availability and private duty shift needs on an on-going basis for the upcoming week.
  • Updates nurse cards in staffing books every three months.
  • Takes call on weekends, holidays and during the week as scheduled.
  • Notifies supervisor of all new and discharged private duty cases.
  • Informs supervisor of all staffing problems (including Do Not Sends, [DNS])
  • Assists Hospital Staffing Coordinator as needed.
  • Assists administrative personnel with paperwork as needed.
  • Able to use good public relations skills to market the Agency on an on-going basis.
  • Works overtime as needed.
  • Acknowledges patient rights including privacy and confidentiality.
  • Consistently displays a professional appearance and conduct in all settings.  Interpersonal and interagency relationships are to be positive and professional at all times.
  • Assumes responsibility and displays reliability for the completion of all tasks, duties, communications and actions.
  • Maintains professional growth and development.
  • Abides by the Agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Accepts other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate multiple functions.
