Job Title: Construction Project Manager Location: Puerto Rico – South Area Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and coordinate construction activities in compliance with cGMP, FDA, and EHSS regulations within an industrial or chemical plant setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management, technical, and leadership skills, with demonstrated experience in construction supervision and contract administration. Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA, and EHSS regulations throughout project execution.
Apply strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
Provide oversight and coordination for chemical process-related construction activities (chemical plant experience preferred).
Lead and supervise construction management personnel with 5 to 8 years of prior experience.
Perform daily field coordination with contractors and subcontractors.
Lead Pre-Bid Meetings and conduct bid evaluations; recommend the most favorable bidder to the client.
Administer construction contracts, including monitoring deliverables, schedules, and compliance.
Evaluate and process Change Order Proposals.
Monitor payments and change orders to ensure alignment with the project budget.
Prepare and present weekly and monthly project status reports, including cost updates, schedule progress, site photos, change order summaries, and unresolved issues.
Conduct weekly construction coordination meetings.
Act as liaison between the client, design team, and contractors.
Provide technical support in areas such as contract management, quality assurance, and claim prevention/resolution.
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Utilize advanced project scheduling and tracking tools, particularly MS Project.
Interpret and review P&ID and technical drawings.
Produce clear and effective technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
5 to 8 years of proven experience in construction project supervision and management.
Proficiency in MS Project and project scheduling tools.
Strong technical writing and reporting abilities.
Experience in chemical plant environments is a plus.
