Purpose:

Client is seeking a strong project manager for a critical multi-year payroll project planned within the HR Operations organization. The Project Manager will lead the implementation of payroll solutions for LATAM region. This multi-year, multi-million-dollar project requires exceptional project management and leadership skills to ensure a successful transition to a new vendor provider. This role operates within the Client Payroll & Time Operations function and collaborates with Regional Payroll Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of new payroll solutions for all Latin America countries.
• Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams involving HR Operations, Technology, Comp & Ben, Treasury, and accounting teams within Client.
• Guide and direct with Client Payroll Country Operations SMEs during implementation.
• Oversee all project phases, including design, configuration, testing, cutover, and hyper-care.
• Coordinate with technology teams to develop integration solutions and manage data between Workday HCM and vendor systems.
• Operate under the Project Management Office (PMO) and established governance structures.
• Partner with the vendor’s implementation and account teams to drive joint success.
• Manage change effectively by engaging key stakeholders, including Country HR, Regional HR, and Finance Directors and their teams.
• Manage aggressive timelines and budgets to achieve project milestones.
• Report and manage the RAID Log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
• Utilize project management tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Human Resources.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese language.
• 5+ years of operational experience managing projects.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in managing large, complex projects; previous payroll implementation projects are preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese language is preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Prior work experience with any payroll providers is an advantage.
