Test Automation Architect - 77650
Ottawa (Hybrid), ONOur client is looking for a Test Architect who will work closely with development teams to implement and automate tests on embedded networking solutions (hardware and software). He will play a key role in the integration, validation and optimization of tests for SR-MPLS products and other advanced network technologies.

Senior test engineer or test architect, the person will have to conceptualize the entire automated test framework.

- Lead the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies.
- Develop and maintain unit, component, and end-to-end tests for networking products.
- Implement and optimize test management using Zephyr plugin in Jira .
- Develop dashboard monitoring and test reporting using Grafana (a strong plus).
- Manage test pipelines in GitLab CI/CD for automated execution.
- Work closely with DevOps, Ground Systems, and Satellite teams to ensure seamless integration .
- Maintain and enhance lab infrastructure, ensuring an up-to-date hardware/software environment.
- Provide technical leadership on test strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Support root cause analysis and defect triage during testing cycles.
- Collaborate with geographically distributed teams in an Agile environment.
Qualification
- 5 years of experience in test design for NEW networking solutions (we are talking here about someone who has experience with the implementation of a new product, and not of an already existing platform)
- Solid knowledge of IP/TCP/Routing fundamentals
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with Jira and GitLab
- Experience in automation programming (Python)
- Hands on Post - We are talking about developing more than 1000 automated tests on the project.
- New product development
- Language: English 5/5 (100% English-speaking mandate)
