Assignment Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior ServiceNow ITSM Consultant to support a client in Rotterdam. The consultant will operate in a hybrid role combining advisory expertise with hands-on configuration and implementation responsibilities within the ServiceNow ITSM domain.

Key Details

  • Start Date: around 15-07-2026
  • Location: Rotterdam
  • Duration: 100 man-days (with possible extension)
  • Work Setup: Full-time, 2 to 3 days on-site at client location
  • Languages:
    • Dutch: Mandatory
    • English: Nice to have

Role Summary

As a Senior ServiceNow ITSM Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to the client, guiding them in optimizing and evolving their IT Service Management processes within the ServiceNow platform. You will combine strategic insight with hands-on delivery, ensuring high-quality configuration, implementation, and continuous improvement of ITSM modules.


Key Responsibilities

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a subject matter expert on ServiceNow ITSM best practices
  • Advise stakeholders on process optimization, governance, and platform capabilities
  • Translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions
  • Support decision-making by providing functional and technical recommendations

Implementation & Configuration

  • Configure and implement core ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and standards
  • Participate in solution design workshops and requirement gathering sessions
  • Perform system configuration, testing, and deployment activities

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automation within ITSM processes
  • Support service improvements aligned with ITIL principles
  • Contribute to platform roadmap discussions and evolution

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work closely with technical teams, architects, and business stakeholders
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior team members if required
  • Ensure documentation of solutions, processes, and configurations

Required Profile

Experience & Expertise

  • Proven experience as a Senior ServiceNow ITSM Consultant
  • Strong background in both functional advisory roles and hands-on implementation
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules and data model
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks

Certifications

  • Mandatory:
    • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or
    • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM (CIS-ITSM)

Technical Skills

  • Experience with ServiceNow configuration (workflows, flows, forms, business rules, etc.)
  • Familiarity with integration concepts and platform capabilities
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a client-facing advisory role
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on quality and delivery excellence
