Your Role at Keystone Automotive Operations Keystone Automotive Operations is currently seeking a Senior Manager Infrastructure of IT for our Exeter, PA location. The Senior Manager Infrastructure of IT will act as a highly skilled and detail-oriented IBM iSeries / Power Systems Technician, joining our Management Information Systems (MIS) infrastructure team.
This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management of IBM i (AS/400) systems, including daily operations, system configuration, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in IBM Power Systems in a multi-partition environment and a proactive approach to system reliability and optimization.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage all aspects of daily IBM i system operations:
User Profiles, Subsystems, Job Queues, Output Queues, Job Descriptions, and job routing.
Backup and restore operations using BRMS, including BRMS networking.
Configure and deploy new IBM i partitions and systems from the ground up.
Implement and maintain robust system security, to include User access control, object-level security, data protection, and secure entry points.
Monitor and optimize system performance and resource utilization.
Manage disk storage, SAN switches, and IBM Flash System configurations.
Perform system firmware upgrades and updates.
Install and manage IBM i OS, Licensed Program Products (LPPs), Program Temporary Fixes (PTFs), and third-party software.
Upgrade IBM i OS versions and manage PTF lifecycle.
Configure and troubleshoot network communications (TCP/IP, APPN, APPC, routing, and interfaces).
Configure, monitor, and upgrade HMC appliances.
Oversee database management, including journaling and recovery procedures.
Ensure seamless integration and connectivity with Windows servers and other platforms.
Collaborate with development teams; programming experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM iSeries / AS/400 / Power Systems.
Strong knowledge of BRMS, HMC, and IBM i OS administration.
Experience with system builds, OS upgrades, and PTF management.
Proficiency in configuring and managing TCP/IP, APPN, and related protocols.
Familiarity with SAN environments and IBM storage solutions.
Solid understanding of IBM i security architecture and best practices.
Experience with database journaling and recovery strategies.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Robot, Mimix)
Basic programming knowledge (RPG, CL, SQL) is a plus
Certifications in IBM Power Systems or related technologies
Project management skills
Work Environment:
Hybrid opportunity available, but must be able to be on-site in Exeter, PA for select hands-on tasks and projects.
May require occasional after-hours or weekend support for maintenance and upgrades.
