The Modern Workplace team plays a pivotal role in the ongoing modernization and upkeep of our company's technological infrastructure, focusing primarily on essential workplace components and collaboration tools. Among the array of assets under their purview are laptops, published desktops, mobile devices, and meeting room equipment, each crucial in facilitating seamless operations across our organization.
In addition to hardware, the team oversees a suite of software solutions geared towards enhancing collaboration and document management. This includes our Office 365-based Document Management solution and the Corporate Intranet, pivotal platforms that streamline communication and information dissemination company-wide.
As stewards of these critical resources, the Modern Workplace team ensures that our technological ecosystem remains robust, efficient, and aligned with evolving business needs.
As part of its digital transformation strategy, the organization aims to migrate its current SharePoint Server 2019 infrastructure to Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online), while leveraging the Power Platform to modernize business applications and collaborative processes.
The expert will be responsible to create the approach, estimations and project plan to migrate our SharePoint Server 2019 towards the cloud:
Assess the current SharePoint Server 2019 environment (inventory, technical architecture, business usage).
Design a comprehensive migration strategy to SharePoint Online, including roadmap and risk analysis.
Identify and analyze custom business applications and workflows (incl. Nintex Workflows and Forms).
Provide estimations for workload, costs, and required resources.
Deliver a full project plan including phases, timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
Recommend modernization scenarios using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Participate in technical workshops with both IT and business stakeholders.
Recommend and support the use of migration tools such as ShareGate.
Understand integration points with external systems (e.g. SAP, Salesforce) and include this in the project plan
Collaborate closely with the project manager, contributing to planning and estimations.
Take ownership of technical design and define a concrete implementation plan.
Produce high-quality deliverables such as the migration strategy document and the project management plan.
