The Mining Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting the successful development, planning, and execution of mining projects within HCME. The role combines technical mining application knowledge with project coordination, customer site studies, partnership development, and commercial support. The Mining Sales Engineer advises dealers and mining customers on improvements in operational efficiency improvements, lifecycle cost reduction, while supporting the Mining Sales team in translating technical and strategic opportunities into practical business solutions.
Manage the successful planning and execution of major mining-related projects within the assigned scope.
Support Mining Sales in identifying, developing, and progressing customer opportunities related to mining applications and Zero Carbon solutions.
Coordinate Zero Carbon related proof-of-concept studies and support follow-up actions with internal and external stakeholders.
Collect information on Global HCM Zero Carbon initiatives and translate this into clear internal updates, proposals, and business opportunities.
Perform site studies on Zero Carbon possibilities and work together with the Mining Sales team at customer sites that could potentially evolve into green mining projects.
Support dealers and customers with mining application studies, operational efficiency improvements, and lifecycle cost reduction opportunities.
Contribute to the development and implementation of mining sales and mining application tools, work together with the support team on service concepts, and business improvement initiatives.
Support the successful execution of life extension, overhaul, maintenance, service, and support related mining projects where relevant.
Advise dealers and mining customers on the most effective mining application of equipment to improve uptime, efficiency, and cost performance.
Provide recommendations on Zero Carbon mining opportunities, including possible transition paths, supporting technologies, and implementation considerations.
Support Mining Sales in advising customers on the best mining and Zero Carbon solutions based on site-specific studies and operational requirements.
Advise internal stakeholders on Global HCM Zero Carbon strategy, studies, partnerships, and market developments relevant to HCME.
Provide technical and commercial input to tenders, studies, proposals, and presentations related to mining projects and Zero Carbon opportunities.
Maintain and expand partnerships between HCME and Zero Carbon mining related companies such as infrastructure partners.
Coordinate and participate in review meetings with strategic partners, dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Support the development of new mining and Zero Carbon business opportunities by combining technical insight, market knowledge, and customer needs.
Gather and analyse information on mining trends, customer developments, competitive activities, and Zero Carbon market initiatives.
Contribute to the strengthening of HCME’s position in mining support, service solutions, and Zero Carbon mining transition opportunities.
Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to mining-related teams to support correct mining application understanding and operational efficiency awareness.
Support dealers and customers in understanding maintenance strategies, life extension programs, and efficiency improvement opportunities.
Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and training materials related to mining applications, project support, and Zero Carbon initiatives.
Share relevant insights from customer studies, POC results, global initiatives, and partner developments within the organization.
Contribute to knowledge development across Mining Sales, Product Support, dealers, and related stakeholders.
Collect and analyze machine performance, utilization data, and Zero Carbon related study results.
Organize and support mining meetings, project reviews, and Zero Carbon related sessions in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare structured reports, recommendations, and presentations based on site studies, project outcomes, partner input, and market analyses.
Support internal alignment between Mining Sales, Product Support, dealers, HCM, and external partners on project and Zero Carbon related topics.
Ideally graduated with a diploma in Mining
3+ years of experience in a similar role
Willingness to travel around 50% of the time, mainly in Europe
Fluent in English
Compensation built of a yearly gross salary between 70’000 euros and 100’000 euros (including holiday allowance and based on experience) + a guaranteed bonus (4%)
