Scheduling Coordinator – Medical Office (Hybrid Remote)
Location: Nashua, NH
Compensation: $24 – $32 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Overview:
We are a national managed care organization with an office in Nashua seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our medical office team in Nashua, NH. This hybrid-remote role supports both in-office and remote scheduling responsibilities, coordinating patient appointments, verifying insurance information, and ensuring smooth communication among patients, providers, and staff.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment where accuracy and professionalism are key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments across multiple providers and service lines.
• Communicate effectively with patients via phone, email, and patient portals to confirm or modify appointment times.
• Verify insurance coverage and ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete prior to visits.
• Maintain up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) and track appointment activity daily.
• Coordinate schedule changes and cancellations to maximize provider productivity.
• Collaborate with front-office and clinical teams to maintain efficient workflow and excellent patient experience.
• Follow HIPAA compliance standards and uphold confidentiality in all communications.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, healthcare scheduling, or administrative role.
• Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or Kareo.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:
• Hybrid remote – combination of on-site days in Manchester, NH and remote scheduling work.
• Monday – Friday daytime schedule with occasional flexibility as needed.
