Job Title: DE/VA Underwriter

Overview:

We’re working with a reputable lender seeking an experienced DE VA Underwriter to join their team.

 

Key Requirements (Must-Have):

 

• Must have actively underwritten and signed off loans using both DE CHUMS ID and VA LAPP/SAR designations within the past 11 months

• Active DE CHUMS ID and VA LAPP/SAR credentials

• 203k underwriting experience

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Underwrite VA, 203k and FHA loans in accordance with agency, investor, and company guidelines

• Review and clear conditions; issue final loan approvals using DE and VA credentials

• Analyze credit, income, asset, and collateral documentation to determine risk and loan eligibility

• Ensure underwriting decisions meet compliance, quality, and timeline standards

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve loan issues and support successful closings

• Stay up to date on all regulatory changes, agency updates, and internal policy shifts
