Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM (in your time zone)
Compensation: $45,000 base salary (non-exempt) not bonus or commission eligible, Benefits available.
Career Track: This is a stepping stone role. You must be willing and able to become a licensed Loan Officer within 1–2 years. Most Loan Officers on this team earn $150K+ by year 3.
Firm Requirement: To qualify for this role, your recent work history must include at least one year as a Loan Officer Assistant within the past 12 months, and your overall experience over the past 3 years must include time spent as either a Loan Processor or a Loan Officer Assistant.
Our client — a leading VA mortgage lender — is hiring a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) to support a high-volume origination team. This is a fully remote, full-time role with a structured 9–6 schedule. The right candidate will be highly organized, client-friendly, and eager to grow into a licensed Loan Officer position.

Quiet, distraction-free home office
Must be able to hardwire a desktop computer and VOIP phone (WiFi only is not permitted)
Comfortable engaging with clients frequently via Zoom in a professional setting
Pipeline & CRM Management
Track active loans and Salesforce leads
Monitor borrower engagement and alert Loan Officers
Manage follow-ups, campaign activity, and database updates
File Setup & Loan Support
Order appraisals, title, HOI, and initial disclosures
Enter and update borrower data, run CAIVRS, order WVOEs, and track CDs
Screen leads, route high-potential clients, and assist with applications under $500K
Client Prequalification & Support
Help “buy-ready” clients improve credit or income to qualify
Present loan options and updates via Zoom
Set borrowers up in rate tracking systems and monitor responses
Agent & Database Research
Use RESD and Zillow to locate and update VA-friendly realtors in Salesforce
Add accounts, assign LOs, and maintain accurate referral data
Post-Close & Review Coordination
Confirm closed loan details and follow up for borrower reviews
Request, track, and escalate feedback across Google, Zillow, and other platforms
Experience with any mortgage LOS; Salesforce is a bonus
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Military background or family connection strongly preferred
Must be committed to becoming a licensed Loan Officer (licensing support provided)
NMLS license is a plus, but not required
