šŸ’° Salary: $100-120k Commensurate with experience

A growing mortgage lender is seeking a Processing Manager with deep experience in both loan processing and mortgage technology to lead their operations team in Manhattan. This hybrid role (three days onsite) requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on processing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a processing team, ensuring loan files move efficiently from submission to closing

  • Act as the team’s technical resource—troubleshooting issues within the LOS, implementing system improvements, and ensuring tech tools are fully optimized

  • Analyze pipeline reports and production metrics to identify workflow bottlenecks and performance trends

  • Serve as a point of escalation for complex loan files and guideline interpretation

  • Collaborate closely with sales, underwriting, and closing to drive operational efficiency

  • Train and mentor processing staff to strengthen their product knowledge, tech fluency, and performance

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in residential mortgage processing

  • At least 2 years in a leadership or processing management role

  • Strong technical aptitude—must be proficient in loan origination systems (LOS) and able to leverage technology to improve workflow

  • Deep knowledge of agency and non-agency guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Must be comfortable working in a metrics-driven, high-volume environment
