Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and model advanced spacecraft, wireless, and remote sensing systems in partnership with software and hardware engineers.
- Lead multidisciplinary design and analysis projects, delivering new products that meet both performance and business needs within the Scaled Agile Framework.
- Develop detailed system and subsystem-level requirements, and design comprehensive test plans to ensure optimal performance.
- Author high-quality, organized documentation, including system requirements, specifications, and verification plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for ground-based and on-orbit operations.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with third-party customers and vendors globally.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- 12+ years of aerospace engineering experience with a strong focus on LEO space systems.
- Proven expertise in software/hardware integration and system architectures.
- Strong track record of developing and managing space system requirements.
- Proficiency in Agile development practices and a talent for mentoring junior engineers.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in engineering.
- 15+ years of aerospace experience and 5+ years in project management.
- Experience across the full product lifecycle and involvement in sales processes.
- Familiarity with high-performance payloads and software-defined wireless systems.
- Expertise in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and Jama requirements management.
