Onze opdrachtgever is een jong, dynamisch en wereldwijd opererend innovatief hightech ontwikkelbedrijf van fijnmechanische en mechatronica machines voor de Foodsector. Zowel de R&D en productie wordt vanuit Drachten gerealiseerd. Je bent werkzaam op de afdeling R&D en je legt verantwoording af aan de Technisch Manager.

Wat houdt de functie in?

The R&D Engineer has the responsibility to perform research and development towards existing, new and improved IR products.

The main goals of this position are:

In cooperation with the team;
To perform research for the optimization of the Food analyzers as well as the development of new products to enhance the portfolio. This must be done by developing electronics, making and evaluating prototypes and initiate related outsourcing activities.
Developing, writing and testing firmware for electronic devices with micro controllers
Provision of working and testing instructions for sub-assemblies and complete products
Provision of IT support services, including PC helpdesk for the staff
Be the main contact for external IT companies
Be the main contact for the implementation of SAP
Service and maintenance at the customers site
Contacts with the notified bodies (eg. TÜV)

Wat zijn je verantwoordelijkheden en bevoegheden?

Responsibilities:

Developing firmware
Developing electronics and PCB´s for instruments
Onsite IT support (in collaboration with external IT company)
Creating of working & test instructions.
Run end testing of prototypes.
Support SAP Implementation (including communication with the SAP/IT team)

In order to fulfill the assigned tasks entirely, the following competences are necessary:

Analytic, logical and innovative thinking
Good communication skills and team player mentality

Qualification

HBO/WO degree in Software, IT & Electronics
More than 3 years of design experience.
knowledge in the use of electronic design software (preferably “Altium”).
Knowledge of SAP
Basic knowledge in fine mechanics, materials and construction
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office
Good written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English
Preferably also knowledge of the German language
Driver License
