Product Owner

The Platform Product Owner defines, drives, and evolves the vision of a next-generation mobile platform.
This role ensures the platform becomes a scalable, secure, and extensible ecosystem, enabling internal and external teams to integrate new services while maintaining consistency in user experience, architecture, and security standards.

Acting as a central connector between business, architecture, engineering, and partners, the Product Owner ensures that platform investments generate long-term value and support future strategic opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Define and own the platform product vision and strategy
  • Translate business strategy into a clear roadmap
  • Identify and prioritize platform capabilities supporting integrations and business use cases
  • Own and continuously refine the product backlog
  • Define and communicate objectives, KPIs, and success criteria
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and security teams
  • Facilitate alignment between platform initiatives and business priorities
  • Define platform governance, contribution models, and integration boundaries
  • Drive adoption and usage of the platform across internal and external teams
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and challenge requirements from platform consumers
  • Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to leadership
  • Support integration guidelines and onboarding processes
  • Promote consistency and standardization across implementations
  • Contribute to platform governance and evolution decisions
  • Validate delivered features against expected outcomes and value
  • Define and monitor KPIs for adoption, usage, and performance
  • Ensure MVPs deliver measurable business value
Technical Requirements
  • Proven experience as Product Owner, Product Manager, or Platform Product Owner
  • Strong experience in Agile environments
  • Experience with digital platforms, APIs, or integration ecosystems
  • Experience collaborating with architects, engineering teams, and security/DPO stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of HTTP protocol
  • Good understanding of REST APIs
  • Understanding of Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) principles
  • Understanding of component-based architecture
  • Ability to discuss architectural trade-offs with technical stakeholders

Methodology / Certification Requirements
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Certifications (PSPO, CSPO, SAFe) are a plus
Languages
  • French or Dutch (at least one mandatory)
  • English (mandatory)
Location & Contract
  • Location: HQ Anderlecht
  • Minimum 2 days on-site presence is mandatory after the onboarding period
Contract
  • First contract of 6 months
  • Extensions possible
