Site Supervisor

Our client is a geotechnical consulting firm with more than 20 years of experience providing ground improvement solutions to clients in the public, private and municipal sectors is experiencing a period of rapid growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Supervisor looking for an established company that prioritizes employee engagement and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage crews on-site, ensuring alignment with the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Coordinate work flow with crews, contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure that site operations are conducted in accordance with the standards set out by the client, their customers and the overall project objectives
• Work directly in a supervising role with subcontractors, maintaining a positive working relationship and work that is done to the standards required by our client.
• Collaborate on a regular basis with the Project Manager to identify conflicts and challenge and bring to resolution.
• Lead site meetings and and all employee orientation and safety training onsite.
• Review all project drawings and specifications to gain an understanding of the project, its scope, schedule and possible concerns.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of construction experience with a focus in either heavy civil or geotechnical construction.
• Experience with design build construction.
• College Diploma or University Degree in Civil Engineering
• Eligible to gain OCETT or PEO certification
• Strong planning and problem solving skills are a must
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt quickly are an asset
• Mechanical aptitude is an asset

Other Requirements:

• Must have access to a vehicle, and possess a valid G driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel to work on sites in the GTA and across Ontario (ability to stay in site city overnight is required
