Maintenance Technician
Pay: Hourly ($26+)+ 15% Shift Premium
Type: 90-Day Contract-to-Hire
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 90-day contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for machine maintenance, building maintenance, and general maintenance functions throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repair and maintenance of machinery, presses, conveyors, CNCs, washers, automation, and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic presses, pneumatic systems, lubrication circuits, and basic electrical circuits.
Perform welding (MIG and/or ARC) and cutting torch work as required.
Adhere to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices.
Operate forklift and man lift when needed.
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and process improvements.
Support press set-ups, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain proper documentation, work orders, and downtime recording.
Serve as a wastewater handler (training provided if needed).
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNCs, washers, assembly machines, automation, and related machinery.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics.
Welding (MIG/ARC) and cutting torch experience.
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Must provide own tools.
