12-Month Minimum Contract | 1st Shift | Pay: up to $38.46/hr (based on experience)
We are seeking two Customs Analysts to support import/export compliance and reporting activities in a hybrid role based in Detroit, MI. This is a 12-month minimum contract with the possibility of extension, offering a flexible 1st shift schedule (4 days on-site, 1 day remote per week).
Gather, merge, and maintain broker files and ACE data for financial reporting.
Support monthly and weekly duty spike investigations and reporting.
Perform data mining and analysis for escalations, covering HTS, part numbers, suppliers, FTAs, duties paid, COO, and other trade data.
Investigate findings, identify corrective actions (duty recovery, broker filing updates, missing documentation, etc.), and coordinate with brokers.
Manage post-entry/duty recovery efforts, ensuring timely corrections, adjustments, and tracking of refunds.
Create and deliver periodic reports/presentations for cross-functional meetings.
Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Finance teams on trade compliance inquiries and findings.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
5–10 years of import/export experience with shipments to multiple global countries.
Strong knowledge of shipment/entry documentation, FTA/COO certifications, and classifications/tariffs.
Advanced data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Power BI, Power Query).
Proficiency with PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
Excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to handle complex investigations.
Customs-related certifications are a plus.

Contract Length: 12-month minimum, through August 2026 (extension possible)
Pay Rate: Up to $38.46/hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Possible, as needed
