Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a manufacturing facility in Bluffton, Indiana. This role plays a critical part in keeping production running smoothly through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance of CNC machines, robotics, and various mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues

• Troubleshoot and maintain:

  • CNC Machines

  • Robotics

  • Electrical Equipment (high and low voltage)

  • Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance

• Work from detailed work orders and document all repairs

• Use testing equipment (volt/ohm meters, etc.) to gauge performance

• Rebuild and reassemble machinery and production equipment

• Collaborate with production, facilities, materials, and engineering teams

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Experience: Minimum 3 years performing maintenance on:

  • CNC Machines

  • Hydraulic & Pneumatic Equipment

  • Industrial Robotics

  • High and Low Voltage Electrical Systems

• Technical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of ladder logic/controls

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair 480V 3-phase and low-voltage AC/DC systems

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly; push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally

• Frequent standing, walking, gripping, reaching, and bending

• Must be able to work around chemicals with proper PPE

• Visual and mental attention to detail is critical

• Will work in, around, and beneath heavy machinery

Note: This is a performance-based contract-to-hire role. A shift differential is already included in the pay rate.
