Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Maintenance Technician

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Pay: Hourly plus 15% Shift Premium
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor


Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to support the repair, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of equipment, presses, and facilities. This position plays a critical role in supporting production teams and driving improvements in equipment reliability and safety.


What You’ll Do:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on the building, presses, and equipment across the plant

  • Operate forklifts and man lifts safely and efficiently

  • Support team goals within the assembly and press departments

  • Participate in press set-ups and improvement initiatives to reduce setup time

  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and electrical safe work practices

  • Complete preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, corrective actions, and equipment upgrades

  • Accurately document all maintenance activities as outlined in work instructions

  • Follow maintenance systems for preventive maintenance, downtime tracking, and work orders

  • Act as a wastewater handler after completing the necessary training

  • Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principles

  • Participate in Elimination of Waste Team meetings

  • Take direction as needed from the Maintenance Manager, Reliability Manager, Supervisors, and Production Leaders

  • Support the company's overall goals and continuous improvement efforts

  • Perform other duties as assigned


What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Knowledge of stamping presses, conveyors, CNC machines, washers, assembly machines, automation, and related machinery

  • Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, lubrication systems, and basic electrical circuits

  • Ability to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics

  • Basic MIG/arc welding and cutting torch experience

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 quality compliance standards
