Flexibility: Must also be open to working 2nd Shift should 3rd shift be self-sustaining (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
About the Role
We’re currently hiring a skilled Tool & Die Maker for the 3rd shift. This is a hands-on, full-time opportunity supporting metal stamping operations in a high-paced automotive environment. We're looking for someone who can troubleshoot and maintain complex tooling to keep production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain transfer and line dies in and out of press
- Operate tool room machinery with precision and efficiency
- Support press setups and ensure tools are running to production requirements
- Apply root cause analysis to solve problems and improve process performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Inspect product quality to ensure parts meet print specifications
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Lean)
- Handle wastewater per environmental compliance guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in tool & die, metal stamping, or die maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, CMM data, and gaging
- Hands-on experience adjusting dies based on inspection results
- Familiarity with press operations and troubleshooting issues during production
- Comfortable working with computers and machine control panels
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 standards preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical school preferred
